Hope everyone is having a fantastic week x x x x

New, new, different, new

Ahoy there fish friends as I tell you all about the newness, excitment and basically good stuff that is bobbing on the horizon.

It seems of late I have been going a bit nuts, mental, bananas. The greatest and most obvious part of this is my new hair colour (i was blonde) and i love it!

It something along the changes of the season that I get my inspiration. Or maybe is just that time of year when a change is a really really good thing.

The rewarding of all these newbies is the new collection of Just For The Halibut products I have been working on. YES you heard it here 1st! Your Christmases will be complete when you see all the new wonky donkey stuff to come!

I am also delighted to announce Just For The Halibut participation is The East London Design Show, Dec 1-4th!

I’m so flipping excited I can’t even tell you!

That is all for now folks! x x

Wicked! The West End Show!

Greeting Blog readers!

I have been caught up with a cold/lurgy of late so feeling pretty sorry for myself. I didn’t let this hold me back for the chance to see WICKED with my friend Kirsty last night as she had her mits on a couple of complimentary tickets (the only tickets a girl needs!) So I snotted and sneezed my way through and the show was delightful! (How appropriate it was just so green!)

The costumes were marvellous and really rounded the story of the ‘Untold story of the witches of Oz”….imagine filling in the blanks of how the Wicked Witch of the West became wicked and green, how the scarecrow, lion and tinman came into being as well. A lovely idea and entirely transferable notion. Take you favourite story ….go back in time and fill in the blanks up to the point where the traditional story starts! (It doesn’t working with the endings…they are usually already sorted)

Talking animals are an absolute winner with me, and above is a picture of a talking goat…I can’t show you anymore or say anything else for fear of spoiling it! I recommend…go and see! x x

Origin Craft Fair

G’Day Folks!
I was lucky enough to get to Origin Craft Fair in Spitalfields this week to inspect a tantalizing array of art, sculpture and craft of exceptional high quality.
Origins is only in its second year and has already built a reputation for finery. Liberty buyers (famous amazballs department store in London, rich in history with exquisite standards) flock to Origins to set up orders for the upcoming seasons!
Its that popular! It runs in a specially constructed ‘room’ within the famous Spitalfields market for a whole week and up to 7pm most evening for the ‘after work’ crowd. The only major downside to the brilliance is the £8 advance £10 on the door entrance fee. A little steep for my liking!
The high quality of hand crafted good, textiles, leather, art, lighting, ceramics gave way to some high product prices too! I was endlessly falling in love with things costing £1000 or more! I can only imagine that the entrance fee works on some level to attract a wealthier clientele and weedle out the window shoppers.
Let me share with you some of my favourite items and artists…..
